I got these to prevent cable twisting and attachment binding on a functional trainer. Attached to the cable ends, they swivel perfectly and solve these issues, common to gym equipment. Way overbuilt for this purpose, and that's a good thing. They swivel easier and smoother than similar shackles made by a competitor, and have been invaluable for my use purposes. No snagging, no noise, no binding at any angle or under any weight load.
